United StatesI have purchased several plants from Succulents Box and they have almost all arrived in perfect, glorious, thriving condition. This little friend is one of two exceptions to that rule so far. When this little one arrived, its largest leaf had a large, triangular shaped puncture all the way through it. I can't help but wonder if it somehow got impaled on another plant, because I can't think of anything else that would have made a hole this shape. As a result, the base of this leaf is wrinkled and kind of collapsed, which gives the whole plant a wonky, lopsided look. I felt big suss feelings about whether this plant would survive, but it's been a few weeks now and the wound has healed nicely. The leaf is still wonky, but the rest of the plant seems no worse for the wear, and is already growing. So despite whatever happened to it, it's thriving and doing its thing!
United StatesI love this Rose Lapidaria maragaretae! Size is so much bigger than expected and cute! It has small/big scratches but still nice color and shape. I am glad I got this one!

Lapidaria margaretae, also known as Karoo Rose, is closely related to the Aizoaceae family. This rare succulent looks quite similar to Lithops, Dinteranthus, and Schwantesia, except that Lapidaria margaretae has from two to four pairs of leaves instead of just one pair.
In the fall or early winter, Karoo Rose blooms beautiful large yellow flowers up to 2 inches (5 cm) wide.
Plants may be shipped bare root.
Full sun to Partial sun. Put it in the shade during hot summer months.
Porous and well-drained potting mix.
Lapidaria margaretae prefers warm weather. It goes dormant during hot summers and cold winters. Frost tolerant to -4 ° C for short periods.
Water once every one or two weeks (only when soil is dry to the touch) then let it drain completely. Do not water during its dormancy.
