  •   Graptoveria Cupid is a hybrid succulent created by crossing Graptopetalum and Echeveria, two genera native to the rocky, arid regions of Mexico and Central America. This cross combines the best traits from both parents, resulting in a succulent that adapts easily to indoor and outdoor growing.

'Cupid' forms tight, symmetrical rosettes with plump, spoon-shaped leaves that shift from soft pink to lilac to bubblegum pink depending on light levels. The leaves wear a powdery farina coating and taper to gently pointed tips, giving the rosette a polished appearance. Over time, it clusters and offsets freely, creating a full display that fills a pot with multiple rosettes.

When conditions include a cool winter temperature drop, 'Cupid' produces star-shaped flowers on slender stems rising from the rosette center.

Place it on a sunny windowsill, a summer patio, or in a collector display grouped with other rare succulents. Move it outdoors once temperatures warm up, but keep it sheltered from heavy rain to protect the roots and farina coating. This drought-tolerant succulent is cat and dog friendly, making it safe for households with curious pets.

  •   Graptoveria Cupid grows well in bright indirect light, partial sun, or full sun, but may scorch in intense south-facing windows without acclimation.

Water it deeply every 10 to 14 days in summer, reducing to once every 3 to 4 weeks in winter.

'Cupid' does best in a gritty, fast-draining cactus and perlite mix at roughly 50/50 to prevent root rot.

It prefers temperatures between 65 and 80°F and should be brought indoors before temperatures drop below 40°F.

'Cupid' is a slow to moderate grower that needs only a light balanced fertilizer once or twice during spring and summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9 through 11, tolerating brief dips to around 25°F but performing best with frost protection. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Texas, Arizona, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi, and along the Oregon coast. Gardeners in zone 9 areas of New Mexico, Arkansas, and central Texas can also grow it outside with light frost cover during cold snaps.
  • Q: How often should I water Graptoveria Cupid?
A: During warm months, water when the top half-inch of soil is dry. In winter, the plant needs water less frequently as growth slows and evaporation decreases.

    Q: Is it pet friendly?
A: Graptoveria Cupid is non-toxic and safe for cats and dogs.

Q: What window direction works best for 'Cupid' indoors?
A: A bright window with a few hours of direct sun works well. Rotate the pot regularly so all sides of the rosette receive even light and stay symmetrical. South-facing windows can scorch the leaves without gradual acclimation.

Q: How big does it get?
A: 'Cupid' typically grows rosettes 3 to 5 inches across and clusters over time to fill a 4 to 6 inch pot, staying compact and manageable indoors.

    Q: Can 'Cupid' be propagated?
A: Separate a healthy offset, let it callous for a day or two, then set it on fresh cactus mix. Leaf cuttings root easily as well once they have calloused.

Q: Can it grow under indoor LED lights?
A: Quality LED grow lights or bright office fluorescent lighting will support growth if natural light is limited.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
