  •   Echeveria Autumn Flame is a rare hybrid succulent in the Crassulaceae family, bred from Echeveria parentage and prized by collectors for its mahogany-toned rosettes. It grows as a compact, drought-tolerant rosette and is listed as a rare find in the succulent world.

The leaves are thick, spoon-shaped, and arranged in a tight rosette, flushed green at the base and deepening to mahogany-red and orange-flame tones toward the tips and edges. Full sun intensifies the color shift, pushing the leaf edges toward deeper burgundy-red. Each rosette grows to roughly 4 to 6 inches across, with a powdery farina coating the leaf surface.

'Autumn Flame' produces slender arching stems in spring or early summer, tipped with small coral to orange-red bell-shaped flowers. A drop in nighttime temperatures in late winter can encourage it to set flower stalks. This plant is pet friendly, and it produces small amounts of pollen that may affect allergy-sensitive households.

Rotate 'Autumn Flame' a quarter turn every week or two so all sides of the rosette receive equal light and growth stays even. Move it outside for summer in a sheltered spot, and bring it back in before autumn rains arrive since the rosette needs cover from prolonged moisture. It survives up to ten days without water, and the farina coating can trap moisture if the rosette is exposed to overhead rain for extended periods. This is a rare echeveria autumn flame succulent that draws attention from collectors in USDA zones 9 through 11.

  •   Echeveria Autumn Flame grows best in bright indirect to direct sun, around four to six hours daily.

Water it every ten to fourteen days in the growing season, letting the soil dry out completely between waterings.

'Autumn Flame' does best in a fast-draining cactus and perlite mix, with at least 50% inorganic grit.

It prefers temperatures between 60°F and 80°F and should be kept away from air conditioning vents and heating units.

'Autumn Flame' is a slow to moderate grower, responding well to a diluted balanced fertilizer once a month in spring and summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9 through 11, tolerating brief dips to around 25°F to 28°F before frost damage occurs. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, South Carolina, Hawaii, and parts of Oregon and Washington along the coast. Without enough sun, the leaves stay mostly green and the mahogany tones fade.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
