  •   Philodendron Jungle Boogie, also called tiger tooth philodendron, is a rare tropical aroid from the Araceae family native to the rainforests of South America. It grows beneath dense forest canopies and has become sought after by rare aroid enthusiasts for its exotic indoor presence.

The serrated leaves are the defining feature, with jagged margins compared to saw blades or shark teeth. Long, narrow foliage emerges in green and develops its signature deeply cut edges as it matures. The upright growth habit creates a sculptural form unlike most other philodendrons.

Like most aroids grown as foliage houseplants, Philodendron Jungle Boogie rarely blooms in typical indoor conditions. The plant performs as an air purifying plant, actively filtering formaldehyde and other indoor toxins from your living space.

Rotate it regularly so every side develops evenly, and keep it in a stable location once settled, as it is sensitive to being moved frequently. Kitchens and bathrooms work especially well because ambient moisture keeps humidity levels up. Keep Philodendron Jungle Boogie on a high shelf well out of reach of cats and dogs, as the sap can cause skin and paw irritation on contact.

  •   Philodendron Jungle Boogie grows well in bright indirect light, away from direct sun rays that scorch its leaves.

Water it every 7 to 10 days in spring and summer, allowing the top inch of soil to dry between waterings, and reduce frequency in winter.

Philodendron Jungle Boogie grows well in chunky, well-draining soil made from perlite, orchid bark, and quality potting soil.

It prefers temperatures between 65 and 85°F and should never experience frost or temperatures below 32°F.

Philodendron Jungle Boogie is a moderate grower that benefits from balanced liquid fertilizer applied monthly during spring and summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9 through 11 where temperatures stay above freezing. It grows outdoors in Florida, Hawaii, southern California, coastal and southern Texas, Arizona, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and the Oregon coast. It can also grow in Nevada's warmer valleys and parts of New Mexico, though most growers in cooler regions keep it indoors year-round.
  • Q: How often should I water Philodendron Jungle Boogie?
A: Every 7 to 10 days in spring and summer. In winter, extend the interval to every 3 to 4 weeks as growth slows and water needs drop.

Q: Is it safe around pets?
A: Philodendron Jungle Boogie sap can cause skin and paw irritation on contact with cats and dogs. Place it on a high shelf well out of reach of pets.

Q: How do I propagate Philodendron Jungle Boogie?
A: Use stem cuttings with at least one node and place them in water or moist sphagnum moss until roots develop. Spring offers the fastest root development.

Q: Why are the leaves turning yellow?
A: Yellow leaves on Philodendron Jungle Boogie are most commonly caused by overwatering, low humidity, or exposure to cold air from AC or heating vents. Check your watering routine and move it away from any direct airflow.

Q: What humidity does Philodendron Jungle Boogie need?
A: Aim for 60 percent humidity or above. Misting the foliage every few days or grouping it with other plants will help maintain higher moisture levels if a humidifier is not available.

Q: How fast does it grow?
A: Philodendron Jungle Boogie grows at a moderate pace, developing increasingly dramatic, serrated foliage over time with consistent care and appropriate light.

    🌿 For Houseplants
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging as soon as possible and review the care instructions included with your order. Water based on your plant’s needs, making sure not to overwater.
Houseplants may need a short adjustment period after arrival. Give your plant time to acclimate to its new space before placing it with other plants. You can gently clean the leaves if needed, and wait to fertilize until it has settled in. Always check soil moisture instead of watering on a fixed schedule.
*** We pack carefully to protect each plant during transit, so larger orders may arrive in multiple packages.
