    •   Echeveria White Rose is a rare succulent in the Crassulaceae family, native to the semi-arid highlands of Mexico where drought and bright sun shaped its water-storing leaves and low care needs. It grows well on neglect as a drought-tolerant succulent for indoor and outdoor growing.

        'White Rose' forms a tight, symmetrical rosette of fleshy, spoon-shaped leaves in soft silvery-white to pale blush tones, sometimes edged with pink when exposed to bright light. The powdery farina coating the leaves creates a frosted finish. It clusters slowly over time, producing offsets around the base that fill out into a fuller, multi-rosette display.

        Nighttime temperature drops trigger 'White Rose' to push up a bloom stalk with seasonal flowers arching above the rosette on slender stems. Positioning it near a window where temperatures naturally dip in the evening gives it the best chance to flower. It is non-toxic to cats and dogs.

        Move it outside in summer and it handles fresh air and natural sun without trouble. It can stay outdoors into autumn in mild climates, though it needs cover from rain or shelter under eaves since water pooling on the rosette causes rot. It stays compact at 3 to 5 inches across and roots quickly from offsets.

    •   Echeveria White Rose grows well in bright indirect light to partial or direct sun, ideally near an east or west-facing window, and rotate it weekly so the rosette develops evenly on all sides.

        Water it deeply every 10 to 14 days in spring and summer, letting soil dry completely between waterings, and reduce to once every 3 to 4 weeks in winter.

        'White Rose' does best in gritty, fast-draining succulent and cactus mix blended with extra perlite or coarse sand at roughly a 1:1 ratio.

        It prefers temperatures between 60 and 80°F and must be brought indoors before temperatures drop below 40°F.

        'White Rose' is a slow to moderate grower needing balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength only once monthly during spring and summer.

        It is hardy in USDA zones 9 through 11 where winter temperatures stay above roughly 20 to 25°F. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Florida, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, and along the mild Oregon coast. It grows outdoors from spring through autumn in North Carolina, Arkansas, and parts of the Pacific Northwest when brought inside for winter, and Hawaii offers near-ideal conditions.
