  •   Echeveria Simulans f/ Rayones is a rare blue rosette succulent in the Crassulaceae family, native to the Rayones municipality in Nuevo León, Mexico. It grows wild in rocky, sun-drenched terrain and brings serious impact to any indoor or outdoor display with its distinctive pale blue-green form.

The plant forms a tight, symmetrical rosette of broad, spoon-shaped leaves in soft pale blue-green with a subtle powdery coating across each surface. Leaf tips taper to a gentle point, and the overall structure has a clean, geometric quality. It stays relatively compact, making it suitable for windowsills, shelves, and desk surfaces where space is limited.

When given a seasonal temperature drop in autumn, Echeveria simulans produces coral to orange-pink blooms on tall, arching stems. Move it outside in fall to naturally provide the cooler nights that trigger flowering. The pale blue-green rosette remains ornamental year-round even without blooms.

You can leave it up to ten days without water. Rotate the pot every week or two so each side of the rosette receives even light exposure. It tolerates dry heated air and is safe around cats and dogs.

  •   Echeveria Simulans f/ Rayones grows well in bright indirect light or partial sun near an east or west-facing window.

Water it deeply every 10-14 days in summer and reduce to once every 3-4 weeks in winter, letting soil dry completely between waterings.

Echeveria simulans does best in a fast-draining cactus and perlite mix, using roughly 50 percent coarse perlite to prevent root rot.

It prefers temperatures between 65-80°F and should be protected from frost below 32°F.

Echeveria simulans is a slow to moderate grower and benefits from diluted balanced fertilizer applied once monthly during spring and summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9-11. It grows outdoors in California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, and coastal areas of Oregon. Gardeners in New Mexico, Arkansas, and parts of North Carolina near zone 9 microclimates can also succeed with it in a sheltered spot with excellent drainage.
  • Q: How often should I water Echeveria Simulans f/ Rayones?
A: In the growing season, water when the top inch of soil is dry. Winter watering should be reduced to once every 3-4 weeks.

Q: Does it need to come inside during rain?
A: Echeveria Simulans f/ Rayones can develop rot if water pools on the leaves and crown, so move it under cover or indoors when rain is expected.

Q: Can Echeveria simulans handle bright direct sun?
A: East or west-facing windows provide ideal light; harsh south-facing direct sun causes the pale blue-green leaves to bleach or develop brown patches.

Q: Is it toxic to pets?
A: Echeveria simulans is non-toxic and safe to display freely around cats and dogs.

Q: How do you propagate Echeveria simulans?
A: Offsets or individual leaves placed on well-draining soil in bright indirect light will root; offsets from the base establish faster than single leaves.

Q: Does this plant flower reliably indoors?
A: Echeveria simulans flowers best when exposed to cooler autumn nights, which outdoor placement in fall provides; indoor plants may bloom less frequently without that seasonal temperature shift.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
