  •   Guzmania hybrid pink plant hails from the regions of Central and South America and belongs to the Bromeliad family, which includes unique plants like air plants, pineapples, and Spanish moss. In their natural habitat, Guzmanias are epiphytes, meaning they grow on other plants.

These striking plants typically form rosettes of elongated, slender leaves that can display a range of colors, from deep green to captivating variegated patterns. The pink variety, as its name implies, is renowned for its vibrant pink bracts, which envelop the subtle flowers, creating a stunning contrast with the lush green foliage.

Guzmanias have earned their popularity as houseplants due to their manageable care requirements and long-lasting blooms. While they typically blossom during spring or summer, the right conditions can lead to year-round flowering. What truly sets Guzmanias apart is their remarkable diversity of flower colors, making them a favorite choice for those seeking vibrant and colorful additions to their indoor plant collection.

These plants have a compact growing habit, making them perfect for tabletop or indoor displays, with an average height ranging from 12 to 18 inches.

  • Guzmania hybrids thrive in bright, indirect light, preferring environments with filtered sunlight or partial shade while avoiding direct, intense sun exposure.

Guzmania hybrids like to be consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water the soil moderately, allowing it to dry slightly between waterings

They appreciate consistently moist but not waterlogged soil, and a well-draining, peat moss-based soil is ideal.

Guzmanias also enjoy warm and humid conditions, thriving at indoor temperatures between 65 to 80°F but should be shielded from temperatures below 50°F. Maintaining high humidity levels above 50% is essential, especially in dry climates or spaces with indoor heating.

During the growing season (spring and summer), you can fertilize your Guzmania with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half the recommended strength around once a month, avoiding fertilization during the dormant winter period.

Guzmania plants are generally non-toxic for both humans and pets, making them wonderful beginner, pet-friendly houseplants.

Fragile plants such as bearpaw, baby toe, etc. may break or loose a few of their leaves during transport. Please contact us for replacements if your plants are severely damaged. • Provide porous soil with adequate drainage, pots with drainage hole are recommended. Bright, filtered light and ample airflow. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Never let your succulents sit in water. Do NOT water on the leaves. If you water from beneath by letting the plant sit in a saucer of water, make sure to pour off any excess water after a few minutes. The hotter it is outside, the faster your soil will dry out, so you’ll need to water more often if you live in a hot area. Water with caution in winter, as the plant can lose its roots if the soil stays cold and wet for extended periods; protect from frost to prevent scarring.
