The foliage of 'Medio-picta' is compact and densely packed along thin, wiry stems that cascade naturally over the edges of containers. Leaves are small, oval, and waxy, showing the signature variegation that gives the Midstripe Rainbow Bush its name. The stems are pink to burgundy, intensifying in color when exposed to direct sun. It grows as a wide spreader with a trailing habit, reaching modest heights while spreading outward with room to trail.
'Medio-picta' produces small white or pale pink flowers during the growing season, though blooms are minimal compared to the ornamental appeal of the variegated foliage. The stems shift deeper pink and red tones under full sun exposure.
Move it outside in summer and it tolerates outdoor autumn conditions without trouble. You can leave it up to ten days without water.
