    •   Pachyveria 'Scheideckeri', also called Jeweled Crown, is a compact succulent hybrid combining the best traits of its Pachyveria and Echeveria parents. The rosette-forming plant originated from careful breeding to achieve its signature silvery-blue, powdery-coated foliage with soft pink edges.

The leaves form a tight, frosty rosette with a powdery farina coating that gives them a silvery-blue appearance with pink tones. Each leaf is thick and slightly pointed, arranged in a geometric pattern that remains relatively compact even as the plant matures. The overall form is geometric, with leaves ranging from forest green to silvery-blue depending on light exposure and season.

'Scheideckeri' produces small, bell-shaped flowers in pale pink or cream tones during late spring and summer months. The blooms appear on thin stems rising from the rosette base.

Rotate it regularly for even growth on all sides, and move it outside in summer to encourage blooming and deepen leaf coloration. It tolerates dry heated air indoors and needs protection from rain when outside. You can leave it up to ten days without water. Propagation is straightforward from leaf cuttings or offsets, and new plantlets root readily in dry soil. Use 'Scheideckeri' in shallow containers, rock gardens, or as a focal point in mixed succulent arrangements. It is pet-friendly.

    •   Pachyveria 'Scheideckeri' grows well in bright direct sun and adapts to low-light conditions, though leaf colors intensify with more sunlight.

Water it every 10 to 14 days during spring and summer when soil dries completely; reduce to once monthly in fall and winter.

'Scheideckeri' does best in well-draining cactus or succulent soil mix, or standard potting soil amended with perlite or coarse sand.

It prefers temperatures between 50°F and 80°F and tolerates dry heated indoor air without decline.

'Scheideckeri' grows slowly as a mature specimen or compact starter plant; no fertilizer is needed, though diluted succulent fertilizer in spring helps offset formation.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9 through 11 and survives frost down to 25°F. It grows outdoors year-round in southern California, Arizona, southern Texas, and Florida, and grows well in Hawaii.

    • Q: How often should I water Pachyveria 'Scheideckeri'?
A: The leaves will soften and feel less firm when the soil is very dry. During the growing season, check the soil regularly and water only after it dries completely.

Q: Can this plant survive a short trip without watering?
A: Pachyveria 'Scheideckeri' stores water in its thick leaves and can remain unwatered for extended periods if the soil is dry at departure.

Q: Does 'Scheideckeri' need direct sun?
A: It adapts to both bright direct sun and lower light, though the silvery-blue tones and pink edges deepen with increased light exposure.

Q: What's the best soil for indoor growing?
A: 'Scheideckeri' needs fast-draining soil; use a commercial cactus mix or add perlite and sand to regular potting soil to prevent root rot.

      Q: Is Jeweled Crown pet-friendly?
A: It is non-toxic and safe for cats, dogs, and other common household pets.

Q: How do I propagate Jeweled Crown?
A: Remove healthy leaves or offsets and place them on dry soil; roots will develop within 2 to 3 weeks.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
