The leaves are thick and fleshy, arranged in dense rosettes that stay relatively small and tight. Each leaf carries a powdery coating ranging from forest green to silvery blue and vivid white, depending on sun exposure and growing conditions. 'Glauca' produces flowers in shades of pink to coral on mature plants, typically blooming in spring and early summer. The blooms appear on short stalks above the rosette and last several weeks when conditions are right.
Move it outside in summer once temperatures stay above 50°F, and it grows well in the warmth. This succulent needs cover from rain and benefits from occasional feeding with specialized succulent fertilizer during the growing season. You can leave it up to ten days without water. It wilts slightly when the soil is completely dry. This plant is pet-friendly and safe around cats and dogs.
