The leaves are small, oval, and pointed, glossy green with pale veining. Some varieties display cream or white variegation along the leaf margins. Growth habit is upright and tree-like, with a naturally open branching structure that can reach several feet tall indoors over time. The thin stems and small leaf size create a silhouette suitable as a tall accent plant for corners and entryways.
Ficus benjamina produces tiny flowers that are inconspicuous and rarely noticed indoors. The foliage is the main ornamental feature year-round. It purifies indoor air by filtering formaldehyde and other toxins, though it does produce pollen and allergens that may affect sensitive individuals.
It prefers temperatures between 60-75°F and is sensitive to sudden temperature swings from air conditioning and heating ducts.
Perfect For Every Occasion: corporate or client gift, office party, employee appreciation, housewarming, house warming gift, thank-you gift, get-well gift, congratulations gift, just because
What This Plant Symbolizes: peace and abundance, prosperity and good fortune, harmony and balance, unity and universal understanding, air purifying wellness
A Thoughtful Gift For: your spouse or significant other, colleagues and coworkers, a plant-loving friend, someone seeking wellness and calm, someone new to their home, your boss or mentor
Q: How often should I water Ficus Benjamina?
A: Check the soil moisture by inserting your finger an inch into the soil; if it feels dry at that depth, water thoroughly until it drains from the base.
Q: Can I move it to different rooms frequently?
A: Ficus Benjamina is sensitive to being moved and will drop leaves if relocated often. Keep it in one consistent spot once established.
Q: Does Ficus benjamina need pruning?
A: No, it's a slow grower and rarely needs pruning. You can remove damaged branches or trim leggy stems to encourage bushier growth.
Q: Is it safe around pets?
A: No. Cats and dogs can experience skin and paw irritation from contact with Ficus benjamina sap if they chew or nibble the plant.
Q: Can Weeping Fig survive a long trip without watering?
A: Yes. You can leave it alone for up to ten days without water.
Q: What window direction works best for Weeping Fig?
A: East or west-facing windows provide bright indirect light. Avoid direct afternoon sun in south-facing windows, which causes leaf scorching.

🌿 For Houseplants
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging as soon as possible and review the care instructions included with your order. Water based on your plant’s needs, making sure not to overwater.
Houseplants may need a short adjustment period after arrival. Give your plant time to acclimate to its new space before placing it with other plants. You can gently clean the leaves if needed, and wait to fertilize until it has settled in. Always check soil moisture instead of watering on a fixed schedule.
*** We pack carefully to protect each plant during transit, so larger orders may arrive in multiple packages.
