  •   Graptoveria 'Harry Watson' is a hybrid succulent in the Crassulaceae family, a cross between Graptopetalum and Echeveria. It originates from cultivated hybrid breeding programs inspired by the succulent-rich regions of Mexico, where its parent genera grow natively.

'Harry Watson' forms a compact rosette of thick, spoon-shaped leaves that layer outward in a tight, symmetrical arrangement. The leaves are coated in a fine powdery farina and carry soft pastel tones of blue-green, lavender, and blush pink. In stronger light, the leaf edges and tips deepen toward peach or pale rose.

It can produce small star-shaped flowers on slender stems when given a drop in night temperatures during the cooler months. Beyond flowering, 'Harry Watson' is non-toxic and fully pet-friendly, so cats and dogs can share the same space without concern.

Move it outside for summer, placing it where it gets good light but stays sheltered from direct rain, since standing water on the rosette or in the soil can cause rot. Rotate it every week or two so all sides of the rosette receive even light exposure. Keep it away from air conditioning vents and heating units, though it does handle the dry, warm air that central heating produces. You can leave it up to ten days without water, which covers longer absences without any additional arrangement.

  •   Graptoveria 'Harry Watson' grows well in bright indirect to direct light, near a south- or east-facing window.

Water it every ten to fourteen days, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings.

'Harry Watson' does best in a gritty, well-draining succulent or cactus mix with added perlite.

It prefers temperatures between 65°F and 80°F and should be kept away from cold drafts below 40°F.

'Harry Watson' is a slow-growing rosette succulent; feed it with a diluted balanced fertilizer once in spring and once in summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9 to 11, tolerating outdoor conditions down to around 25°F to 30°F for brief periods. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, and along the Gulf Coast. It can also stay outside through autumn in zone 9 regions before overnight temperatures drop too low.
  • Q: How much light does Graptoveria 'Harry Watson' need?
A: A south- or east-facing windowsill works well. If the rosette starts stretching or leaning, it needs to be moved closer to the light source or rotated more frequently.

Q: How do I know when this succulent needs water?
A: Graptoveria 'Harry Watson' wilts slightly and the leaves feel less firm when it is dry. Check that the top inch or two of soil is fully dry before watering again.

Q: Is 'Harry Watson' safe for cats and dogs?
A: Yes, it is non-toxic and pet-friendly for both cats and dogs.

Q: Can this plant go outside in summer?
A: 'Harry Watson' does well outside during warm months. Keep it in a spot sheltered from rain, since water pooling in the rosette or sitting in the soil can cause rot.

Q: How fast does 'Harry Watson' grow?
A: It is a slow grower, adding only a small amount of size each season. The rosette stays compact over time.

Q: Can this succulent be propagated at home?
A: 'Harry Watson' propagates readily from leaf cuttings or offsets. Allow a leaf or offset to callous for a day or two before placing it on dry succulent mix, then mist lightly every few days until roots form.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
