The Philodendron 'Silver Stripe' is a sophisticated, sought-after relative of the classic Heartleaf Philodendron. While it shares the same resilient "easy-care" DNA as its cousins, its unique, metallic variegation makes it a true standout for indoor jungles.
A stunning cultivar of Philodendron hederaceum, the Silver Stripe is often confused with the 'Brasil' or 'Rio' varieties.It features the iconic heart-shaped leaves but distinguishes itself with a specific pattern: a tricolor blend of dark green, lime green, and a distinct, creamy silver-white stripe running down the center of the foliage.
What makes the 'Silver Stripe' truly special is its elegance and rarity. Unlike the bold, neon yellow of the 'Brasil', the 'Silver Stripe' offers a more muted, "painted" look. The silver stroke usually acts as a buffer between the dark and light green sections, giving the leaf a shimmering, tiered appearance that looks almost metallic under bright light.
Medium to Bright, Indirect Light. While it can survive in low light, bright indirect light is necessary to keep the silver and lime variegation vivid. Avoid direct sun.
Well-Draining Potting Mix. A mix of high-quality potting soil, perlite, and a little orchid bark works best to prevent root rot.
Moderate. Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry out before watering again. It is very "forgiving" and will droop slightly to tell you it's thirsty.
Ideal: 65°F–80°F (18°C–27°C). Protect it from cold drafts and temperatures below 60°F.

Your plant will be carefully wrapped in a sturdy box. Most of the succulents will be shipped bare-root to ensure their safety. If you want to receive the plastic pot & soil, please leave a note in your order. When opening your package, some soil may be loose in the box. Plant orders are shipped within 3-5 days depending on the availability of the plant. We ship our plants Monday through Friday, all twelve months of the year! Provide porous soil with adequate drainage, pots with drainage hole are recommended. Bright, filtered
light and ample airflow. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Never let your succulents sit in water. Do
NOT water on the leaves. If you water from beneath by letting the plant sit in a saucer of water, make sure to pour
off any excess water after a few minutes.
The hotter it is outside, the faster your soil will dry out, so you’ll need to water more often if you live in a hot
area. Water with caution in winter, as the plant can lose its roots if the soil stays cold and wet for extended
periods; protect from frost to prevent scarring.
