    •   Monstera 'Peru' is a rare climbing aroid native to the tropical rainforests of South America, where it scrambles up trees in warm, humid conditions. This vining indoor plant has earned serious collector attention worldwide as a houseplant with bold visual impact that doesn't demand much fuss.

        Its deeply corrugated, almost puckered dark green leaves have a thick, succulent-like texture unlike most other monstera varieties. The leaves stay relatively compact and unlobed, giving the plant a sculptural appearance without sprawling across a large footprint. As a climbing aroid, it naturally grows upward and trails from a hanging hook or climbs a moss pole with steady progression.

        'Peru' is primarily grown for its extraordinary foliage rather than its blooms, and flowering is very rarely observed indoors.

        'Peru' adapts well to office environments including standard LED lighting and naturally humidifies the air around it. It does well near kitchen moisture and in a terrarium setup where humidity stays consistent. Move it outside to a shaded spot during summer so it can enjoy warm outdoor air, then bring it back in before temperatures drop. Because the sap can cause skin and paw irritation, keep it on a high shelf out of reach of pets and small children.
