    •   Kalanchoe 'Vivien' is a rare paddle plant hybrid in the Crassulaceae family, sought by succulent collectors for its red foliage and clumping growth habit. Native to Madagascar and southern Africa, wild Kalanchoe species grow in rocky, sun-drenched landscapes with well-draining soils and distinct dry seasons, and this cultivar brings that same sun-loving, drought-tolerant toughness into homes and gardens worldwide.

        Vivien forms upright, clumping rosettes of broad, paddle-shaped leaves with gently scalloped edges that deepen to vivid red at the margins in bright light. The foliage has a powdery, glaucous coating that gives each leaf a soft, chalky finish. As a clumping succulent, it naturally offsets and fills out over time, creating a full, sculptural display.

        Vivien produces clusters of small, tubular flowers on upright stalks, typically emerging in late winter to spring when nighttime temperatures drop.
