  •   Pothos 'Lemon Top' is a rare trailing houseplant from the genus Epipremnum, native to the tropical forests of Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands. It belongs to the pothos family and naturally climbs and cascades through the forest understory, earning serious collector attention for its exceptional rarity and color-changing foliage.

The leaves emerge in vivid golden yellow before maturing into deeper green, creating a two-toned display that shifts across the plant as it grows. Heart-shaped leaves with a glossy, smooth texture are carried along long, flexible vining stems that trail naturally. This evolving leaf color makes it one of the most visually dynamic trailing indoor plants available today.

Pothos 'Lemon Top' rarely flowers indoors, so its visual appeal comes entirely from those spectacular, color-changing leaves. New growth constantly introduces fresh bursts of lemon yellow to the plant. It actively filters formaldehyde and other toxins from your home environment.

Use it in a hanging basket or mount it on a high shelf with a sturdy hook to let the lemon-bright vines trail freely. It grows well near kitchen moisture, grows under office LED lighting, and can move outside in summer to enjoy warm, sheltered conditions. Rotate it regularly so all sides receive equal light and prevent one-sided growth. The sap can cause skin and paw irritation, so keep it away from cats, dogs, and small children. You can leave it up to ten days without water.

  •   Pothos 'Lemon Top' grows well in medium to bright indirect light but adapts well to lower light conditions indoors.

Water it every 7 to 10 days, allowing the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings.

Pothos 'Lemon Top' does best in a well-draining mix of standard potting soil blended with perlite for aeration.

It prefers temperatures between 60 and 85°F and should never be exposed to frost.

Pothos 'Lemon Top' is a moderate to fast grower and benefits from a balanced liquid fertilizer applied once a month during spring and summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 10 to 12, tolerating lows around 30 to 35°F only briefly before cold causes damage. It grows outdoors year-round in Hawaii, South Florida, and the southernmost parts of California, Texas, and Arizona. It also thrives in coastal areas of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina, plus parts of the Oregon and California coast where winters stay mild.
  • Q: How often should I water Pothos 'Lemon Top'?
A: Check that the top inch of soil is dry before watering. Water every 7 to 10 days to avoid overwatering.

Q: Is it safe around cats and dogs?
A: No. Pothos 'Lemon Top' sap can cause skin and paw irritation, so keep it on a high shelf or in a hanging basket well out of reach of pets and small children.

Q: What light conditions does Pothos 'Lemon Top' need?
A: Intense direct sun can scorch the leaves. It performs best in medium to bright indirect light and will even grow under office LED lighting.

Q: How do I propagate it?
A: Pothos 'Lemon Top' roots readily from stem cuttings. Take a cutting with at least one node and one leaf, then place it in water or moist potting mix until roots develop, which typically happens within two to four weeks.

Q: Can Pothos 'Lemon Top' survive while I'm away on a trip?
A: If well-watered before departure, it can survive a 10-day trip without additional watering due to its ability to retain moisture in its foliage and soil.

Q: Does it need a lot of fertilizer?
A: Pothos 'Lemon Top' benefits from a balanced liquid fertilizer applied once a month during the growing season (spring and summer), then held back in fall and winter.

    🌿 For Houseplants
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging as soon as possible and review the care instructions included with your order. Water based on your plant’s needs, making sure not to overwater.
Houseplants may need a short adjustment period after arrival. Give your plant time to acclimate to its new space before placing it with other plants. You can gently clean the leaves if needed, and wait to fertilize until it has settled in. Always check soil moisture instead of watering on a fixed schedule.
*** We pack carefully to protect each plant during transit, so larger orders may arrive in multiple packages.
