Dracaena Warneckii, or Dracaena deremensis, is a popular houseplant native to tropical Africa. It has very distinctive long, pointed gray-green leaves with creamy-white stripes. Each of these sword-like, rigid leaves has a unique pattern, making this plant a stunning decorative element in any decor setting.
Warnekii is recommended by NASA as one of the top ten plants for removing formaldehyde from the air. This air-purifying plant is adaptable to various lighting conditions, including low light spots, making it a perfect plant for homes and offices.
In summer, Warneckii may produce globular white-yellow flowers, but it is very rare for this plant to bloom indoors.

Warneckii survives in low light and fluorescent lighting conditions, but it grows faster if given a couple of hours of medium to bright indirect sunlight daily. Avoid harsh direct sun to prevent scorching leaves.
This plant requires less water than most houseplants. It prefers slightly moist but not waterlogged soil. Check the soil twice per week and only water when the top 1" of the soil is dry to the touch.
Dracaena Warneckii likes rich soil that can retain some moisture, but the soil should also drain well to prevent root rot. It is recommended that you mix some peat with general houseplant soil to improve drainage.
This plant grows best in normal room temperatures (between 65°F-85°F). It does not grow well in temperatures below 50°F. Warnecki thrives in average indoor humidity (40-50%), and it is recommended that you mist your plant and use a humidifier when the environment is too dry (humidity level falls below 40%).
This plant should be fertilized once per month during the growing season (spring/summer) with diluted houseplant fertilizer.
This plant contains saponins which may cause drooling, vomiting and weakness if ingested. Keep it out of reach of pets and children.
