    •   Sempervivum 'Stefan' is a cold hardy succulent in the Crassulaceae family, native to the rocky alpine terrain of Europe and western Asia. This houseleek plant evolved in mountain environments with minimal soil and intense sun, which is exactly why it grows with so little fuss in home gardens and containers today.

        Stefan forms tight, compact rosettes with fleshy, pointed leaves that shift between earthy greens and bronze-red tones depending on sun exposure and season. It grows in an upright, clustering habit, producing offsets that spread outward from the mother rosette to create a dense colony over time.

        Individual rosettes of Stefan are monocarpic bloomers, flowering once before giving way to the surrounding offsets that carry on the plant's growth. Even between bloom cycles, the plant channels most of its energy into producing new offsets.

        Stefan tolerates wind, rain, and autumn chill without issue and can move outside for summer or stay on a balcony year-round. It handles drafty spots and survives in dry heated indoor air just as comfortably. Stefan is pet friendly and non-toxic to cats and dogs. You can leave it up to ten days without water. Propagation is simple: gently separate the offsets that form around the base of the mother rosette and replant them.
