    •   Sempervivum 'Larissa' is a cold hardy succulent from the Crassulaceae family, descended from mountain-dwelling European species that naturally grow in rocky alpine terrain. Like all hens and chicks, it forms tight rosette clusters that multiply readily, making it suitable for beginning gardeners and collectors.

        It produces compact rosettes in rosy-red and green tones, with fleshy pointed leaves that develop warm honey and orange blushes depending on sun exposure and season. The upright clustering growth means each mother rosette steadily produces offsets, filling containers and garden beds with a dense carpet of textured color.

        After its first year of growth, 'Larissa' needs a night temperature drop to trigger blooming. The bold color shifts and tight rosette architecture work well in drought-tolerant planting schemes.

        Move it outside in summer; it handles balcony wind without trouble and stays outdoors well into autumn thanks to its frost tolerance. It is cat and dog friendly.
