  •   Bonsai Sedum Furfuraceum Moran is a miniature succulent from the Crassulaceae family, native to the rocky, arid landscapes of Mexico. This rare collector plant has exceptionally slow-growing specimens with genuine architectural presence and character.

The plant grows upright with a clustering habit that resembles a tiny ancient tree sculpted by nature itself. Its compact, tree-like form is crowned with tightly packed rosettes of plump, cylindrical leaves in forest green, each leaf covered with a slightly fuzzy or powdery texture. As it clusters and branches over time, it develops genuine structural interest. Even at just 2 inches, Sedum Furfuraceum draws attention on a windowsill or shelf.

It occasionally produces small, star-shaped flowers typical of the Sedum genus, adding a seasonal element to the plant. Its slow, deliberate growth means every new cluster develops over time, and it maintains its dense appearance year-round.

Move it outside in summer to a patio or sheltered garden spot with bright indirect light, covering it during rain to prevent waterlogged soil. Sedum Furfuraceum is non-toxic and safe for cats and dogs, so you can display it anywhere in your home without concern. Rotate it regularly indoors for balanced, even growth on all sides. It becomes a decades-long heirloom piece in a collection.

  •   Bonsai Sedum Furfuraceum Moran grows well in bright indirect light and should be rotated regularly to maintain even, balanced growth on all sides.

Water it deeply every 10 to 14 days in summer, reducing to once every 3 to 4 weeks in winter, allowing soil to dry completely between waterings.

Sedum Furfuraceum does best in a well-draining cactus and succulent mix blended with perlite at a ratio of roughly 2:1.

It prefers temperatures between 50 and 80°F and should be protected from frost below 30°F.

Sedum Furfuraceum is a slow grower that benefits from a light, diluted succulent fertilizer applied once in spring and once in early summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9 through 11, tolerating minimum temperatures down to around 25 to 30°F before frost protection becomes necessary. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi. It also grows well in parts of Oregon, New Mexico, and coastal areas of North Carolina.
  • Q: How often should I water Bonsai Sedum Furfuraceum Moran?
A: Let the soil dry out completely between waterings. In summer, that's typically every 10-14 days; in winter, once every 3-4 weeks.

Q: Can I leave it unwatered during short trips?
A: Bonsai Sedum Furfuraceum Moran can tolerate up to ten days without water during the growing season. Winter dormancy extends that window further.

Q: Does Sedum Furfuraceum need direct sun?
A: It grows best in bright indirect light and can scorch if exposed to prolonged direct afternoon sun. Avoid windowsills that get intense afternoon rays.

    Q: Is it pet safe?
A: Yes. Sedum Furfuraceum is non-toxic and completely safe for cats and dogs.

Q: How fast does Sedum Furfuraceum grow?
A: It is a slow grower, which is a key part of its appeal as a collector plant. New clusters develop gradually and the form stays beautifully compact for years.

Q: Why are the leaves turning yellow?
A: Yellow leaves almost always signal overwatering or poorly draining soil. Allow the soil to dry fully between waterings and ensure your pot has adequate drainage holes. Sedum Furfuraceum is especially susceptible to rot when soil remains wet for extended periods.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
