Phalaenopsis amabilis has forest green, glossy leaves that grow in a compact rosette form. The foliage is small and arranged symmetrically around a central crown, creating an upright silhouette. Aerial roots occasionally emerge from the base, a natural trait of epiphytic orchids. It maintains a neat appearance whether in bloom or between flowering cycles.
It produces yellow flowers that bloom on tall, arching spikes rising above the foliage. Blooms typically appear in winter and spring, with individual flowers lasting several weeks or longer. The plant may rebloom multiple times per year when given proper light and a temperature drop at night.
Yellow Phalaenopsis Orchid can grow under office LEDs and adapts to various indoor locations away from direct afternoon sun. Please remove your plants from their packaging as soon as possible and review the care instructions included with your order. Water based on your plant’s needs, making sure not to overwater.
Houseplants may need a short adjustment period after arrival. Give your plant time to acclimate to its new space before placing it with other plants. You can gently clean the leaves if needed, and wait to fertilize until it has settled in. Always check soil moisture instead of watering on a fixed schedule.
