  •   Echeveria Pulvinata x Setosa is a rare hybrid succulent in the Crassulaceae family, combining traits from two fuzzy Echeveria species native to Mexico's rocky highlands. Both parent species evolved in well-draining terrain under bright, fluctuating light.

Tight, symmetrical rosettes form densely covered in soft, silvery-white hairs that give the leaves a velvety texture. The plump, spoon-shaped leaves are green beneath the fuzzy coating, often tipped in rosy-red tones. As a clustering succulent, it slowly produces offsets that build into a mounding display over time.

Flower stems arch above the rosette in a classic Echeveria pattern when nighttime temperatures drop, typically in cooler months. Keep the foliage dry and protected from rain to preserve those fuzzy leaves while the plant works up to bloom. This hybrid needs the temperature shift to trigger flowering.

You can leave it up to ten days without water. Rotate it regularly so all sides of the rosette receive even light exposure and grow symmetrically. The plant is non-toxic to cats and dogs, so you can display it freely anywhere in the home. Rosettes reach 3–5 inches across and stay compact and manageable, fitting perfectly on windowsills and in small spaces.

  •   Echeveria Pulvinata x Setosa grows well in bright indirect light to partial or full sun, ideally near an east or west-facing window.

Water it deeply every 10–14 days in summer, reducing to once every 3–4 weeks in winter.

Echeveria pulvinata × setosa does best in a gritty, fast-draining cactus mix blended with 50% perlite or coarse sand.

It prefers temperatures between 60–80°F and should be brought indoors before frost approaches.

Echeveria pulvinata × setosa is a slow to moderate grower and benefits from diluted balanced fertilizer once monthly during spring and summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9–11, tolerating brief dips to around 25–28°F before frost damage occurs. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi. Coastal areas of Oregon, Washington, and North Carolina, along with parts of New Mexico and Arkansas, may also support it in sheltered microclimates within the warmer edges of zone 9.
  • Q: How often should I water Echeveria Pulvinata x Setosa?
A: Every 10–14 days during the growing season, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. In winter, reduce to once every 3–4 weeks.

Q: Is this succulent safe for cats and dogs?
A: Echeveria Pulvinata x Setosa is non-toxic and safe for cats and dogs.

Q: What light conditions does Echeveria pulvinata × setosa need?
A: East or west-facing windows provide ideal conditions. Leaves shift from green to red in full sun; too little light causes pale, stretched growth.

Q: How large does it get?
A: Echeveria pulvinata × setosa forms individual rosettes of 3–5 inches across and slowly offsets outward, staying compact and manageable.

Q: How do I propagate Echeveria pulvinata × setosa?
A: Gently remove offsets that form at the base and pot them in fresh, gritty mix. Leaf propagation is also possible, though success rates vary with fuzzy-leaved hybrids.

Q: Is it commonly available in garden centers?
A: Echeveria pulvinata × setosa is a rare hybrid not commonly found in big-box retailers, making it a unique addition for collectors.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
