  •   Echeveria 'Ponto Rosa' is a rare rosette succulent in the Crassulaceae family, originating from the hybrid cultivation traditions rooted in Mexican echeveria breeding. It forms a compact, symmetrical rosette with farina-coated leaves that shift from blue-green to soft pink at the tips.

The leaves are broad, spoon-shaped, and arranged in a tight rosette, each one covered in a powdery farina that gives the surface a matte, pastel finish. Leaf tips blush pink to rose under bright light, contrasting against the blue-green base. 'Ponto Rosa' stays compact, typically reaching 3 to 5 inches across at maturity.

Under the right conditions, it produces slender stalks with small, bell-shaped flowers in coral to orange tones. A nighttime temperature drop encourages blooming, so keeping it near a cooler window in autumn can trigger a flower stalk. Rotate it a quarter turn each week to keep the rosette growing evenly on all sides.

Move it outside for the summer months, but cover or shelter it from rain since water pooling in the rosette can cause rot. The farina coating helps it tolerate the dry air from indoor heating systems. This plant is pet friendly. You can leave it up to ten days without water, and it wilts slightly when dry. 'Ponto Rosa' is a rare find that suits a desk, windowsill, or outdoor container arrangement through summer and into autumn.

  •   Echeveria 'Ponto Rosa' grows well in bright indirect light to partial direct sun daily.

It needs water every 10 to 14 days, letting the soil dry out fully between sessions.

'Ponto Rosa' does best in a fast-draining cactus and perlite mix, roughly 50/50.

It prefers temperatures between 60°F and 80°F and needs a cool night drop to bloom.

'Ponto Rosa' is a slow to moderate grower; feed once in spring with a diluted balanced fertilizer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9b through 11, tolerating brief dips to around 25°F to 30°F. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, and Nevada. It can stay outdoors through autumn in Georgia, Louisiana, and coastal South Carolina before temperatures push it back inside.
  • Q: Is Echeveria 'Ponto Rosa' safe for cats and dogs?
A: Yes, it is non-toxic and safe around cats and dogs.

Q: How do I know when this succulent needs water?
A: Echeveria 'Ponto Rosa' wilts slightly and the leaves feel softer when it is ready for water. Check that the top inch of soil is fully dry before watering.

Q: Can 'Ponto Rosa' grow under office LED lights?
A: It can survive under office LEDs, but the leaf tips may stay green rather than developing their pink blush without brighter light.

Q: What happens if I overwater this succulent?
A: 'Ponto Rosa' will develop mushy, translucent leaves at the base, and root rot can set in quickly if the soil stays wet for extended periods.

Q: Can 'Ponto Rosa' sit in a south-facing window?
A: Unfiltered south window sun can scorch the farina-coated leaves, leaving brown patches. A few feet back from the glass, or behind a sheer curtain, works better.

Q: How big does this rosette succulent get?
A: 'Ponto Rosa' typically reaches 3 to 5 inches across and grows slowly, staying compact enough for a desk or small shelf.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
