'Moonshine' forms a tight, symmetrical rosette of broad, spoon-shaped leaves in a soft mint green to pale silver-green, covered in a fine farina that gives each leaf a frosted appearance. The leaf edges can blush faint pink to rose in strong light, and the rosette typically reaches three to five inches across at maturity. Each leaf is thick and waxy, storing water through dry periods.

In late spring to summer, it sends up slender, arching stems carrying small coral to orange-pink bell-shaped flowers.
