  •   Echeveria Manana is a compact rosette succulent in the Crassulaceae family, native to the semi-arid highlands of Mexico. It belongs to the large and varied Echeveria genus, which encompasses hundreds of species and cultivars collected and grown worldwide.

'Manana' forms a tight, symmetrical rosette of fleshy, spoon-shaped leaves coated in a silvery blue farina. The powdery coating gives the leaves a cool, matte finish, and the leaf tips can blush soft pink to rose in brighter light. Rosettes stay compact, typically reaching three to four inches across.

It produces slender arching stems with small, bell-shaped flowers in coral to orange tones, usually appearing in late spring or summer. A night-time temperature drop encourages blooming, so moving it somewhere cooler in the evening during late winter can bring on flower stalks.

You can leave it up to ten days without water, and it tolerates the dry heated air common in most homes and apartments. Move it outside for the summer, but cover it from rain to protect both the farina and the roots from excess moisture. 'Manana' is sensitive to air blowing directly from AC or heating vents, so keep it away from those sources. This plant is pet friendly, and its compact size fits comfortably on a shelf or windowsill. Rotate it every week or two so all sides receive even light and the rosette stays symmetrical.

  •   Echeveria Manana grows well in bright indirect light to partial direct sun, ideally near an east- or west-facing window.

Water it every ten to fourteen days in spring and summer, allowing the soil to dry out completely between sessions.

'Manana' does best in a fast-draining cactus and perlite mix, with a ratio of roughly fifty percent perlite to prevent root rot.

It prefers temperatures between 60°F and 80°F indoors and should not be exposed to frost or drops below 40°F.

'Manana' is a slow to moderate grower; feed it with a diluted balanced fertilizer once a month during spring and summer only.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9b through 11, tolerating outdoor conditions down to around 25°F to 30°F for brief periods. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Florida, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, and Hawaii. It also grows outdoors through autumn in parts of Oregon and coastal Washington before nighttime temperatures drop too low.
  • Q: Can Echeveria Manana survive while I travel for a week or two?
A: It handles up to ten days without water comfortably, so a standard one-week trip is fine as long as the soil is dry before you leave.

Q: Is this succulent safe to have around cats and dogs?
A: Echeveria Manana is non-toxic and pet friendly, so it is safe to keep in homes with cats and dogs.

Q: Will 'Manana' scorch if I put it right in a south-facing window?
A: A south-facing window can scorch the leaves, especially through glass that intensifies heat. An east or west window is a safer spot.

Q: How do I know when it needs water?
A: 'Manana' wilts slightly and the leaves feel softer than usual when the soil has been dry too long. If you see that, it is time to water.

Q: Can 'Manana' go outside for the summer?
A: Yes, move it outside once nighttime temperatures stay consistently above 50°F, and place it somewhere sheltered from direct rainfall to protect the farina and roots.

Q: How fast does this succulent grow and when should I repot it?
A: 'Manana' grows slowly, typically adding only a small amount of size each season. Repot it when roots begin to circle the bottom of the pot or push through drainage holes, usually every two to three years.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
