  •   Echeveria 'Elora' is a compact rosette-forming succulent in the Crassulaceae family, native to the semi-arid regions of Mexico. It has gained attention among succulent growers for its bubblegum pink farina coating and tightly packed, spoon-shaped leaves.

'Elora' forms a neat, symmetrical rosette of plump leaves that are pale green at the base and flush pink toward the tips. A powdery farina coats each leaf, giving the whole plant a soft, dusty appearance. The rosette typically reaches 3 to 4 inches across, and the leaves are rounded and slightly cupped.

It produces slender arching stems in late spring to summer, tipped with small coral to orange bell-shaped blooms. A night temperature drop in late winter encourages the flowering cycle. The blooms are unscented but attract pollinators when the plant is placed outdoors.

Rotate it a quarter turn every week or two so the rosette grows evenly on all sides. You can move it outside for the summer months, but keep it under cover where rain cannot pool on the leaves. It tolerates the dry heated air common in most indoor spaces. You can leave it up to ten days without water. This plant is pet friendly.

  •   Echeveria 'Elora' grows best in bright indirect light, around 4 to 6 hours, near an east- or west-facing window.

Water it every 10 to 14 days in spring and summer, reducing to once a month in winter, letting the soil dry fully between waterings.

'Elora' does best in a fast-draining cactus or succulent mix combined with perlite at a ratio of roughly 2:1.

It prefers temperatures between 65°F and 80°F indoors and should be kept above 40°F at night.

'Elora' is a slow to moderate grower; feed it with a diluted balanced liquid fertilizer once a month during spring and summer only.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9 to 10, tolerating brief dips no lower than around 25°F to 30°F. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Arizona, Texas, Nevada, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Hawaii. It also grows outdoors in parts of Oregon and Washington along the coast where winters stay mild.
  • Q: How much light does Echeveria 'Elora' need indoors?
A: An east- or west-facing window works well. South-facing windows can cause the farina to bleach and the leaf edges to scorch, so keep it a foot or two back from the glass if that is your only option.

Q: How do I know when this succulent needs water?
A: Echeveria 'Elora' wilts slightly and the leaves feel less firm when the soil has been dry too long. Check the top inch of soil before watering rather than following a fixed calendar.

Q: Can 'Elora' be grown outdoors in summer?
A: Yes, move it outside once nighttime temperatures stay reliably above 50°F. Place it in a spot with bright light but out of direct afternoon sun, and keep it sheltered so rainwater does not sit in the rosette.

Q: Is this plant safe for cats and dogs?
A: 'Elora' is non-toxic and safe for cats and dogs.

Q: How do I propagate 'Elora'?
A: Leaf propagation works well. Gently twist a healthy leaf from the base of the rosette, let the cut end dry for a day or two, then lay it on dry succulent mix and mist lightly every few days until roots and a tiny rosette appear.

Q: How big does this succulent get?
A: 'Elora' stays compact, typically reaching 3 to 4 inches in rosette diameter at maturity, which keeps it well suited to windowsills, small shelves, and 2-inch to 4-inch pots.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
