Echeveria 'Carino' is a succulent in the Crassulaceae family, descended from Echeveria species native to the semi-arid highlands of Mexico and Central America. Like its wild relatives, it evolved in rocky, well-draining soils with abundant sun and minimal rain, and adapts well to indoor and outdoor growing.

'Carino' forms a compact, symmetrical rosette of plump, spoon-shaped leaves in soft grey-green with a powdery farina coating that gives it a frosted appearance. The leaves have gently pointed tips and a smooth, sculpted structure. Over time, it slowly produces offsets around the base, building into a fuller display without intervention.

'Carino' can produce slender flower stalks when temperatures drop at night, triggering blooms in the warmer months. Placing it near a cooler window in late winter or moving it outside as spring temperatures warm provides the natural temperature shift needed for flower bud formation.
