  •   Echeveria 'Arco' is a compact rosette-forming succulent in the Crassulaceae family, native to the semi-arid regions of Mexico. It grows as a dense, symmetrical rosette and is well suited to windowsill and indoor container growing.

The leaves are broad, spoon-shaped, and arranged in a tight rosette that stays compact as it matures. Leaf color runs from powdery blue-green at the base to warm coral-pink or peachy-orange along the tips and edges, with a soft farina coating across the surface.

'Arco' produces slender arching stems in spring or early summer, each tipped with small bell-shaped flowers in orange to coral tones. It blooms more freely after a period of cooler nights, typically in the 50°F to 60°F range, so a nighttime temperature drop helps trigger flowering. It is a pet-friendly plant and releases oxygen at night rather than during daylight hours.

Move it outside once temperatures stay above 50°F in summer, but keep it under cover or an overhang where rain cannot pool in the rosette. Rotate the pot a quarter turn each week so all sides receive equal light. You can leave it up to ten days without water, and it handles the dry air from indoor heating without trouble. 'Arco' works well in shallow terracotta pots, mixed succulent arrangements, and on sunny windowsills.

  •   Echeveria 'Arco' grows well in bright indirect to direct light, placed within a foot or two of an east- or west-facing window.

Water it every ten to fourteen days during the growing season, letting the soil dry completely between waterings; reduce to once a month in winter.

'Arco' does best in a gritty, fast-draining cactus and perlite mix that prevents water from sitting around the roots.

It prefers temperatures between 60°F and 80°F indoors and should be kept away from air conditioning vents and heating registers.

'Arco' is a slow to moderate grower; feed it with a diluted balanced fertilizer at half strength once a month during spring and summer only.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9b through 11, tolerating brief dips down to around 25°F to 28°F. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, and along the Gulf Coast. It can stay outside through autumn in milder coastal areas within those zones before overnight temperatures drop below 30°F.
  • Q: How much light does Echeveria 'Arco' need indoors?
A: A south- or east-facing window works best. Keep it within one to two feet of the glass, but watch for leaf scorch if afternoon sun is intense through south-facing glass in summer.

Q: How do I know when this succulent needs water?
A: Echeveria 'Arco' will show slightly soft or just-barely-puckered leaves when the soil has been dry long enough. Check the top inch of soil first, and water only when it is completely dry.

Q: Is 'Arco' safe around cats and dogs?
A: Yes, it is non-toxic and safe for cats and dogs.

Q: How big does this succulent get?
A: 'Arco' stays compact, typically reaching three to five inches across at maturity, so it fits well in small pots and tight windowsill spaces.

Q: Can 'Arco' stay outside in autumn?
A: It can stay outside through early autumn as long as overnight temperatures stay above 30°F. Bring it in before the first frost, and keep it covered from rain to prevent rot.

Q: How do I propagate this succulent?
A: 'Arco' propagates easily from individual leaves or offsets. Twist a healthy leaf cleanly from the base, let it callous for a day or two, then lay it on dry cactus mix and mist lightly every few days until roots and a new rosette form.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
