  •   Echeveria Apus Succulent is a rosette-forming succulent in the Crassulaceae family, native to the semi-arid highlands of Mexico. It evolved in rocky, sun-drenched terrain where sharp drainage and seasonal dry spells are standard, making it naturally drought tolerant and suited to indoor or outdoor growing.

The plant forms a tight, symmetrical rosette of fleshy, spoon-shaped leaves in blue-green tones that can blush lavender or pink at the tips under bright light. A powdery farina coating covers the leaves, giving it a soft, matte finish. As a clumping grower, it gradually produces offsets around the base, creating a multi-rosette display over time.

Slender arching stems topped with small bell-shaped blooms may emerge during late winter or spring if the plant experiences a cool nighttime temperature drop. While flowering is not guaranteed every year indoors, a temperature shift between day and night offers the best chance.

Echeveria Apus communicates thirst through slight leaf wilting, so watering is straightforward. It grows on sunny windowsills, patios, or under office LEDs, though growth slows without natural sunlight. The plant is pet friendly, safe for cats and dogs. Move it outdoors for summer sun and bring it back inside before frost; shield it from heavy rain to protect the foliage.

  •   Echeveria Apus Succulent grows well in bright indirect light, partial sun, or full sun, ideally near an east or west-facing window.

Water it deeply every 10-14 days during summer and reduce to once every 3-4 weeks in winter, allowing soil to dry completely between waterings.

Echeveria Apus does best in gritty, well-draining cactus and succulent mix blended with perlite or coarse sand at a 1:1 ratio.

It prefers temperatures between 60–80°F and should be protected from frost below 25°F.

Echeveria Apus is a slow to moderate grower and benefits from diluted balanced fertilizer applied once monthly during the active growing season.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9-11, tolerating brief dips to around 25°F. It grows outdoors year-round across California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi. It can also overwinter outside along the Oregon coast and in sheltered pockets of New Mexico and parts of North Carolina. Growers in all other states enjoy it as a container plant brought indoors before the first frost.
  • Q: How often should I water Echeveria Apus Succulent?
A: Water deeply every 10-14 days in warm months, then cut back to once every 3-4 weeks in winter. Leaves will wilt slightly when the soil is completely dry.

Q: Is this plant safe around cats and dogs?
A: Echeveria Apus Succulent is non-toxic and pet friendly, so it can be displayed anywhere in your home without concern.

Q: Can Echeveria Apus grow under office lighting?
A: It adapts to office LED lighting but grows more slowly than in natural sunlight. A supplemental grow light helps maintain its compact, colorful rosette form.

Q: How much light does it really need?
A: East or west-facing windows work well; rotate Echeveria Apus regularly so all sides of the rosette develop evenly. It can scorch in intense afternoon sun, especially if suddenly moved from shade.

Q: Can Echeveria Apus survive a 10-day trip without watering?
A: You can leave it up to ten days without water.

Q: How do I propagate it?
A: Gently separate the offsets clustering around the base of a mature Echeveria Apus and pot them in well-draining succulent mix. Leaf cuttings also work when left to callous before planting.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
