  •   Pachyveria 'Bea' is a hybrid succulent created by crossing Pachyphytum and Echeveria species, combining traits from both parent genera into a single drought-tolerant plant. It has blue-gray leaves with purple undertones and a compact form, and it grows well indoors or outdoors.

'Bea' forms tight, symmetrical rosettes of thick, fleshy leaves that are blue-gray with subtle purple undertones. The leaves reach 4–6 inches across at maturity and are covered with a powdery coating called farina that enhances the blue coloration and protects against sun damage. It maintains a compact shape year-round, staying neat without requiring pruning.

During spring and early summer, it produces tall flower spikes with small, bell-shaped blooms in coral-pink to orange hues. The outer leaves wilt slightly when the plant needs water. It can be left up to ten days without water and tolerates dry heated air.

'Bea' works equally well on office desks, sunny windowsills, and in container gardens. Move it between indoor and outdoor locations as seasons change. It needs protection from rain when grown outdoors to prevent root rot. It is non-toxic and safe around cats and dogs, and it can be propagated from individual leaf cuttings.

  •   Pachyveria 'Bea' grows well in bright indirect light or partial sun, avoiding both direct sun and low-light conditions.

Water it deeply every 7–10 days during the growing season, allowing the soil to dry completely between waterings.

'Bea' does best in well-draining cactus mix or regular potting soil amended with perlite and coarse sand.

It prefers temperatures between 65–80°F and tolerates brief frosts down to 25°F.

'Bea' grows slowly to moderately and needs diluted succulent fertilizer only 2–3 times during spring.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9–11 and grows outdoors year-round in Florida, southern California, southern Texas, Arizona, Hawaii, Louisiana, southern Georgia, coastal South Carolina, southern Nevada, and parts of coastal Oregon. It also survives outdoors in Alabama, Mississippi, southern North Carolina, and parts of Arkansas with winter protection during occasional hard freezes.
  • Q: How often should I water Pachyveria 'Bea'?
A: During spring and summer, water every 7–10 days when the top inch of soil is dry. In fall and winter, reduce watering to every 2–3 weeks as growth slows.

Q: Is this succulent pet safe?
A: Pachyveria 'Bea' is non-toxic to cats and dogs, making it a safe choice for any household.

Q: What light does 'Bea' need indoors?
A: An east or west window with bright indirect light works best. Direct southern sun can cause the leaves to scorch and bleach.

Q: How large does it grow?
A: 'Bea' reaches 4–6 inches across at maturity and maintains a compact, symmetrical rosette shape year-round.

Q: Can you propagate 'Bea' from leaves?
A: Remove healthy leaves and let them callus for 2–3 days before placing on dry soil. New rosettes typically form within 2–4 weeks.

Q: What temperatures will this plant tolerate?
A: 'Bea' handles brief frosts down to 25°F but prefers consistent temperatures between 65–80°F for best growth.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
