The plant forms a compact, upright clustering habit with small, tongue-shaped leaves that grow in neat rosette-like arrangements along each stem. Its leaves are deep green with a slightly textured surface, and as it clusters and spreads, it builds into a dense display visible from any angle. 
Crassula 'Fairy Tongue' produces small flowers in pink to red tones, typically appearing in cooler months when nighttime temperatures drop. Rotating the plant periodically encourages even, balanced growth across the whole cluster. 
Move it outside in summer; it handles balcony conditions without trouble, but cover or relocate it from heavy rain to protect the rosettes. You can leave it up to ten days without water. It is pet-friendly and non-toxic to cats and dogs. 
Fairy Tongue Crassula grows well in bright indirect light and should be kept away from prolonged direct midday sun or dim, low-light corners. 
Water it deeply every 10 to 14 days in summer, scaling back to once every three to four weeks in winter. 
Crassula 'Fairy Tongue' does best in a gritty, fast-draining cactus and succulent mix blended with perlite for extra drainage. 
It prefers temperatures between 60 and 80°F and is not frost-tolerant; bring it indoors before temperatures drop below 40°F. 
It is hardy in USDA zones 9 through 11, where winter temperatures rarely drop below 20°F. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi. Parts of coastal Oregon, New Mexico, and select regions of Arkansas and North Carolina within these warmer zones can also support it outdoors through much of the year. Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
