  •   Crassula Springtime Succulent is a compact succulent from the Crassulaceae family, native to the rocky, arid regions of South Africa. Like other crassulas, it evolved in sunny, well-drained landscapes where dry spells are common, making it naturally resilient for indoor and outdoor growing.

The plant forms dense, clumping clusters of small, fleshy leaves stacked along upright and trailing stems. The leaves are bright green with a plump, slightly glossy texture, and it develops a bushy shape over time. Its trailing growth habit makes it well-suited to hanging baskets or elevated pots where stems cascade downward.

One of the standout features is its fragrant pink blooms, which emerge in clusters at the stem tips typically from late winter through spring. The flowers carry a light, sweet fragrance. A nighttime temperature drop is the key trigger for blooming, so placing it somewhere cooler in the evenings during late winter will encourage those signature fragrant flowers.

Crassula 'Springtime' works well on windowsills, shelves, or in mixed succulent arrangements, and it handles the dry heated air of most homes without issue. Move it outside in summer to soak up extra sun, but bring it under cover during rain since prolonged moisture on the foliage causes problems. Keep it on a high shelf away from cats, dogs, and small children. You can leave it up to ten days without water.

  •   Crassula Springtime Succulent grows well in bright indirect light, partial sun, or full sun near an east or west-facing window.

Water it thoroughly every 10-14 days in summer, reducing to once every 3-4 weeks in winter. It wilts slightly when thirsty.

Crassula 'Springtime' does best in a fast-draining cactus and succulent mix blended with perlite for extra drainage.

It prefers temperatures between 60-80°F and should be protected from frost below 30°F.

Crassula 'Springtime' grows at a moderate pace and benefits from a balanced liquid succulent fertilizer applied once monthly during spring and summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9-11, tolerating brief dips to around 30°F but performing best where winters stay mild. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi, as well as coastal Oregon. Growers in cooler states like New York, Illinois, Washington, and Colorado should keep it as a container plant that moves indoors before the first frost.
  • Q: How often should I water Crassula Springtime Succulent?
A: Water thoroughly every 10-14 days during the growing season, then pull back to every 3-4 weeks in winter. Always let the soil dry out completely between waterings to prevent root rot.

Q: What light conditions does it need indoors?
A: Crassula Springtime Succulent grows best in bright indirect light or partial sun near an east or west-facing window. Rotate it regularly for even growth; intense south-facing direct sun can cause leaf scorch.

Q: Is Crassula 'Springtime' safe around pets and children?
A: Keep it on a high shelf away from cats and dogs. Small children and toddlers should be kept at a distance.

Q: How do I get blooms on this plant?
A: Crassula 'Springtime' flowers when exposed to consistent nighttime temperature drops during late winter, ideally into the low 50s°F. Keeping it slightly drier in winter also encourages flowering.

Q: Can Crassula 'Springtime' be propagated easily?
A: It propagates readily from stem cuttings. Allow the cut end to callous for a day or two, then place it in dry succulent mix and mist lightly until roots develop.

Q: How long can it survive without water?
A: You can leave Crassula 'Springtime' alone for up to ten days without watering. Water it thoroughly before you leave and ensure it has good light while away.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
