  •   Cotyledon campanulata 'Vingers' is a rare fuzzy succulent from the Crassulaceae family, native to the rocky outcrops of South Africa's Western Cape region. It has adapted to harsh, drought-prone conditions and grows as both an indoor houseplant and outdoor specimen in warm climates.

Vingers grows in compact upright rosettes with thick, finger-shaped leaf segments covered in soft, velvety hairs. The fuzzy leaves are silvery-green with reddish margins that deepen under bright light. The densely packed rosette formation reaches 6-8 inches tall and wide at maturity, with new growth adding 1-2 inches per year.

It produces bell-shaped yellow flowers on tall stalks above the rosette during late spring to early summer. The tubular blooms emerge once the plant matures and can last several weeks when conditions are right.

Vingers handles drafty spots and dry heated air. You can leave it up to ten days without water. It works well on shelves, windowsills, or as a tabletop display, and should be kept away from pets and small children due to potential skin irritation from the sap.

  •   Cotyledon campanulata 'Vingers' grows well in bright indirect light to partial sun but scorches in south-facing windows.

Water it deeply every 10-14 days during the growing season, allowing soil to dry completely between waterings.

Vingers does best in well-draining cactus mix with added perlite or coarse sand for optimal drainage.

It prefers temperatures between 65-75°F and tolerates brief frost down to 25°F.

Vingers is a slow-growing succulent requiring minimal fertilizer. Use diluted cactus food monthly during spring.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9-11 and survives brief frost to 25°F. It grows outdoors in Florida, southern California, Texas, Arizona, Hawaii, Louisiana, southern Georgia, coastal South Carolina, southern Nevada, and parts of coastal Oregon. Indoor cultivation allows enthusiasts in colder states like New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Illinois to grow this rare succulent year-round.
  • Q: How often should I water Cotyledon campanulata 'Vingers'?
A: Every 10-14 days during the growing season with complete soil drying between waterings. Drop back to monthly watering in winter.

Q: What happens if I place it in a south-facing window?
A: Cotyledon campanulata 'Vingers' can scorch in intense afternoon sun. The fuzzy leaves may turn brown or papery where direct rays hit them.

Q: Can Vingers survive outdoors year-round where I live?
A: Only in USDA zones 9-11 where temperatures stay above 25°F. Move it indoors before the first frost in colder regions.

Q: Is it safe around cats and dogs?
A: Keep Vingers on high shelves away from pets. The sap may cause skin irritation, so nibbling or eating the plant should be avoided.

Q: How do I propagate Vingers?
A: Remove leaf cuttings or offsets in spring, let them callus for 2-3 days, then plant in well-draining soil.

Q: How large does this plant get?
A: Vingers grows slowly to about 6-8 inches tall and wide at maturity, adding just 1-2 inches per year.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
