  •   Graptoveria Titubans Variegata, also called Variegated Porcelain Plant, is a rare hybrid succulent in the Crassulaceae family, a cross between Graptopetalum and Echeveria. It originates from the high-altitude, semi-arid regions of Mexico, where its parent genera grow on rocky slopes with sharp drainage and bright sun.

The rosettes form tight, symmetrical clusters of plump, spoon-shaped leaves in soft green with creamy white to pale yellow variegation along the margins and sometimes through the centers. Leaf surfaces have a powdery, farina-like coating that gives the plant its porcelain appearance. Each rosette stays compact, typically reaching 2 to 4 inches across, and offsets over time to form a low, spreading cluster.

Graptoveria Titubans Variegata can produce slender arching stems with small star-shaped flowers in pale yellow to soft peach tones, usually in spring. A drop in nighttime temperatures encourages blooming. It does not produce a notable fragrance.

Rotate it every week or two so all sides of the rosette receive even light. You can move it outside for summer, but it needs cover from rain to protect the roots from standing water and the farina coating from spotting. This plant is pet friendly. You can leave it up to ten days without water, and it tolerates the dry heated air common in most homes. Graptoveria Titubans Variegata is a rare find that works well in succulent arrangements, dish gardens, or windowsill collections.

  •   Graptoveria Titubans Variegata grows best in bright indirect light, near an east or west-facing window. It can scorch in a south-facing window with direct afternoon sun.

Water it every 10 to 14 days in spring and summer, letting the soil dry out completely between waterings.

Graptoveria Titubans Variegata does best in a well-draining cactus and succulent mix, with added perlite for extra drainage.

It prefers temperatures between 65°F and 80°F and should stay above 30°F to avoid frost damage.

Graptoveria Titubans Variegata is a slow to moderate grower; feed it once in spring and once in early summer with a diluted balanced fertilizer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9 through 11, tolerating brief dips to around 25°F to 30°F. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Arizona, Texas, Nevada, New Mexico, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida. It also grows outdoors in Hawaii and coastal areas of Oregon and Washington that stay above freezing.
  • Q: Is Graptoveria Titubans Variegata safe for cats and dogs?
A: Yes, this plant is non-toxic and pet friendly for both cats and dogs.

Q: How do I know when it needs water?
A: Graptoveria Titubans Variegata shows slightly soft or puckered leaves when the soil has been dry long enough to warrant watering.

Q: Can Graptoveria Titubans Variegata go outside in summer?
A: Yes, move it outside once nighttime temperatures stay above 50°F, and place it where it is protected from direct rain.

Q: How fast does it grow, and will it stay small?
A: Graptoveria Titubans Variegata grows slowly and stays compact at 2 to 4 inches across, though it will spread gradually by producing offsets.

Q: Can Graptoveria Titubans Variegata handle the dry air from a heater or air conditioner?
A: It handles dry heated indoor air well, but keep it out of a direct airflow stream from vents, which can dry the roots unevenly.

Q: What happens if I overwater it?
A: Graptoveria Titubans Variegata is prone to root rot if the soil stays wet. Soft, translucent, or mushy leaves at the base are a sign the roots have been sitting in excess moisture.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
