  •   Echeveria 'Trumpet Pinky' is a rare succulent in the Crassulaceae family, native to the semi-arid highlands of Mexico and Central America. It clusters into upright rosettes and grows as a beginner-friendly collector plant with modest watering needs indoors or on a bright patio.

The leaves are plump and spoon-shaped, curving inward with a tubular quality at the base that gives the plant its trumpet-like silhouette. Foliage blends soft forest green with warm peachy-pink blush tones at the tips, intensifying deeper pink under bright light. As a clustering succulent, it gradually produces offsets around the base, building into a fuller display over time.

'Trumpet Pinky' produces coral to pink-orange blooms on slender arching stems, typically in spring or early summer. A nighttime temperature drop encourages the plant to set buds and flower more reliably. The rosette coloration itself deepens in pink tone with adequate light stress throughout the growing season.

This compact rosette succulent grows at a measured pace and stays tidy without constant pruning, growing well on a bright indoor shelf, a sunny patio in summer, or as a mature specimen in a decorative pot where its form gets full visibility. Move it outside once temperatures warm in late spring, but shelter it from heavy rain, which can damage leaves and introduce rot. It is pet-friendly and safe for households with cats and dogs.

  •   Echeveria 'Trumpet Pinky' grows well in bright indirect light and can handle some direct morning sun, but scorches in harsh afternoon exposure.

Water it deeply every 10 to 14 days in summer and reduce to once every 3 to 4 weeks in winter.

'Trumpet Pinky' does best in a fast-draining mix of 50% coarse perlite blended with cactus or succulent potting soil.

It prefers temperatures between 65 and 80°F indoors and should be protected from temperatures below 40°F.

'Trumpet Pinky' is a slow to moderate grower that benefits from a diluted balanced fertilizer once monthly during spring and summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9 through 11, tolerating brief dips to around 25 to 30°F with protection. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi. It also grows along mild coastal stretches of Oregon and Washington, parts of New Mexico, and can be grown as a seasonal patio plant nearly anywhere else across the continental United States.
  • Q: Is Echeveria 'Trumpet Pinky' pet-friendly?
A: Yes, it is non-toxic and safe for cats and dogs.

Q: How do I know if my plant needs water?
A: Echeveria 'Trumpet Pinky' wilts slightly when the soil dries out completely. The leaves also lose their plumpness and feel softer to the touch.

Q: Can 'Trumpet Pinky' survive in a low-light room?
A: No. It needs bright indirect light or some direct morning sun to maintain its shape and leaf color. In dim conditions, it stretches and loses the compact rosette form.

Q: How do I propagate this plant?
A: 'Trumpet Pinky' propagates readily from offsets that cluster around the base of a mature plant. Remove a healthy offset, let the cut end callous for a day or two, then place it in dry succulent mix and water lightly after a week.

Q: Why are the leaves on 'Trumpet Pinky' turning yellow?
A: Yellow leaves usually mean overwatering or poor drainage. Check that your pot drains freely and allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings.

Q: Is this plant really rare?
A: 'Trumpet Pinky' is a collector succulent not commonly found in big-box garden centers. Its compact clustering habit and distinctive tubular leaf form make it especially desirable among enthusiasts.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
