  •   Echeveria Emerald Ripple is a succulent in the Crassulaceae family, native to semi-arid regions of Mexico. It evolved to store water in its fleshy leaves and grow in bright, dry conditions.

It forms a tight, upright rosette of thick, spoon-shaped leaves in emerald green with gently ruffled, rippled edges that give the cultivar its name. The leaf surfaces have a powdery farina coating that adds a soft, silvery sheen and helps it manage heat and light. This compact growth style reaches about 4 to 6 inches in diameter at maturity.

Echeveria Emerald Ripple produces arching flower stalks with coral to pinkish-orange bell-shaped blooms, typically appearing in spring or early summer. Bloom frequency increases when the plant experiences a natural drop in nighttime temperatures, so moving it outdoors in autumn before bringing it back inside encourages flowering the following season.

Rotate the pot regularly to keep the rosette growing evenly, and always provide cover from rain to prevent rot. It is pet friendly and non-toxic to cats and dogs. It transitions between indoors and outdoors during summer months. The plant is drought tolerant and comfortable in dry air and low humidity environments. It also makes an excellent outdoor plant for patios, rock gardens, and container arrangements in warm climates.

  •   Echeveria Emerald Ripple grows well in bright indirect light and may scorch in intense south-facing windows.

Water it deeply every 10 to 14 days in summer, reducing to once monthly in winter.

Echeveria Emerald Ripple does best in a gritty, well-draining cactus and perlite mix at roughly 50/50.

It prefers temperatures between 65 to 80°F and is frost-sensitive below 25°F.

Echeveria Emerald Ripple is a slow to moderate grower; feed it monthly in spring and summer with diluted balanced fertilizer.

It is hardy in USDA Zones 9 through 11, tolerating brief dips to around 25°F but requiring frost protection below that threshold. It grows outdoors year-round across California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi. Coastal areas of Oregon, North Carolina, and parts of New Mexico also fall within these zones.
  • Q: How often should I water Echeveria Emerald Ripple?
A: Water deeply when the soil dries completely. In summer that means every 10 to 14 days; in winter, once monthly prevents root rot.

    Q: Is it pet safe?
A: Echeveria Emerald Ripple is non-toxic to cats and dogs and safe for homes with curious pets.

Q: What window placement works best for Echeveria Emerald Ripple indoors?
A: East or west-facing windows provide bright indirect light without risk of leaf scorch. South-facing windows with direct sun cause the leaf edges to fade and bleach.

Q: Can it be grown outdoors year-round?
A: Echeveria Emerald Ripple grows year-round in USDA Zones 9 to 11, including much of California, Texas, Florida, and Arizona. In colder regions, bring it indoors before frost arrives.

Q: How does Echeveria Emerald Ripple propagate?
A: It propagates easily from leaf cuttings or offsets. Allow the cut end to callous for a day or two before placing it on dry succulent soil, with roots appearing within two to four weeks.

Q: What size does it reach at maturity?
A: Echeveria Emerald Ripple typically grows to about 4 to 6 inches in diameter as a mature rosette, fitting easily in small pots and on windowsills.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
