    •   Alocasia Pink Dragon (Alocasia baginda 'Pink Dragon') is a tropical aroid native to the rainforest floors of Borneo, where it grows beneath dense canopy in humid, filtered light. It belongs to the Araceae family and is considered a rare aroid among collectors, sought out for its upright form and dramatically marked foliage.

        The leaves are large, arrow-shaped, and deep green with pale silver-green veining running across the surface in a feathered pattern. Underneath, each leaf is a deep burgundy-red, and the stems are pink with a scaly texture that gives the plant its name. 'Pink Dragon' holds its leaves upright on tall, sturdy petioles, and the contrast between the silvery upper surface and the colored undersides is visible from multiple angles.

        As a foliage-forward aroid, 'Pink Dragon' rarely flowers indoors, and bloom information for cultivated specimens is limited, so flower details are not listed here. It does, however, purify indoor air by filtering formaldehyde and other airborne toxins, and it naturally adds humidity to the surrounding air through transpiration. The plant is also a rare find in the houseplant market, which makes it a frequent target for aroid collectors.

        Rotate 'Pink Dragon' every few weeks so all sides receive even light exposure. It is sensitive to being moved between locations, and frequent repositioning can trigger leaf drop, so choose a spot and keep it there.
