  •   Cremnosedum Little Gem Succulent is a dwarf rosette hybrid, a cross between Cremneria and Sedum that originated in the rocky, sun-baked regions of Mexico and Central America. It has adapted well to container growing, rock gardens, and sunny windowsills worldwide.

The plant forms tight, jewel-like rosettes packed with plump, fleshy leaves in shades of green that blush with rosy or bronzy tones under bright light. It spreads outward in a clustering, clumping habit, staying naturally compact and dwarf while filling pots and garden beds with dense coverage. The thick, smooth leaves have a sculptural quality that stands out even when the plant is not in bloom.

Star-shaped flowers appear on slender stems when the plant receives consistent bright light and cooler autumn nights to trigger blooming. It tolerates dry heated indoor air and can be left without water for up to ten days.

Rotate the pot regularly for even, symmetrical growth, and position it away from direct AC or heater vents to keep the foliage looking its best. Move it outside in summer in a bright, sheltered spot; cover it or move it under an overhang during heavy rain to prevent water from pooling in the rosettes. Cremnosedum 'Little Gem' propagates easily from offsets or leaf cuttings, allowing you to expand your collection.

  •   Cremnosedum Little Gem Succulent grows well in bright indirect light, partial sun, or full sun, though it may scorch in intense south-facing windows during peak summer.

Water it deeply every 10–14 days during spring and summer, cutting back to once a month or less in winter.

Cremnosedum 'Little Gem' does best in a gritty, fast-draining cactus and succulent mix amended with extra perlite or coarse sand.

It prefers temperatures between 60–80°F and appreciates cooler nights around 50–55°F to encourage blooming.

Cremnosedum 'Little Gem' is a slow to moderate grower needing only a light balanced succulent fertilizer once in spring and once in early summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 8–11, tolerating brief dips to around 15–20°F with protection from prolonged frost. It grows outdoors in Texas, Florida, California, Arizona, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Nevada, and along the Oregon and Washington coasts, as well as in Hawaii and New Mexico. It also grows well in sheltered microclimates throughout zone 8 states like Arkansas, Tennessee, and North Carolina.
  • Q: How often should I water Cremnosedum Little Gem Succulent?
A: Every 10–14 days during spring and summer, reducing to once a month in winter. Let the soil dry completely between waterings to prevent root rot.

Q: Is this succulent safe around cats and dogs?
A: Cremnosedum Little Gem Succulent is non-toxic to both cats and dogs, though the sap may cause mild skin or paw irritation with repeated contact.

Q: What window placement works best for Cremnosedum 'Little Gem'?
A: Position it in a bright indirect light spot or give it several hours of direct morning sun daily. Avoid intense afternoon south window exposure in summer, as scorching can occur.

Q: How fast does this plant grow?
A: Cremnosedum 'Little Gem' is a slow to moderate grower that stays naturally compact and dwarf. Its clustering habit gradually spreads outward, so allow room for it to fill a wide, shallow pot over time.

Q: Can Cremnosedum 'Little Gem' be propagated at home?
A: Gently separate a healthy offset or leaf, let it callous for a day or two, then place it on dry succulent mix and mist lightly until roots form.

Q: Can this plant survive a 10-day trip without water?
A: Cremnosedum 'Little Gem' can be left unwatered for up to ten days without issue.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
