  •   Echeveria Dusty Rose is a drought-tolerant succulent in the Crassulaceae family, native to the semi-arid highlands of Mexico and Central America. It evolved to grow in bright light with minimal water, adapting to both indoor shelves and outdoor gardens.

'Dusty Rose' forms a tight, symmetrical rosette of thick, spoon-shaped leaves coated in soft lavender-pink farina that gives the plant its signature powdery, velvety appearance. The leaf edges blush deeper rose or violet under bright light, creating a gradient that shifts with the seasons. Leaves cluster naturally over time, producing a fuller, more sculptural display.

With a slight drop in nighttime temperatures, it produces tall arching bloom stalks topped with small coral or pink bell-shaped flowers, typically appearing in late winter through spring. The blooms attract pollinators when the plant is placed outdoors.

This succulent works well on sunny windowsills, patio containers, rock gardens, and in dish garden arrangements. Move it outside in summer and keep it under cover during heavy rain to protect the farina. You can leave it up to ten days without water. It tolerates the dry heated air of most homes in winter and is non-toxic to cats and dogs.

  •   Echeveria Dusty Rose grows well in bright indirect light to full sun near a south or east-facing window, rotated every few weeks for even rosette growth.

Water it deeply once every 10 to 14 days in spring and summer, allowing soil to dry completely between waterings, and reduce to once every 3 to 4 weeks in winter.

'Dusty Rose' does best in fast-draining cactus and succulent mix blended with 30 to 50 percent perlite or coarse grit.

It prefers temperatures between 60 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit and should be brought indoors before temperatures drop near freezing.

'Dusty Rose' is a slow to moderate grower that benefits from diluted balanced succulent fertilizer applied once monthly during spring and summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9 through 11, tolerating brief dips to around 25 to 28 degrees Fahrenheit before cold damage occurs. It grows outdoors year-round across California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina, as well as along mild coastal stretches of Oregon and Washington. Parts of New Mexico, Arkansas, and coastal North Carolina also fall within or near these zones.
  • Q: How often should I water Echeveria Dusty Rose?
A: Every 10 to 14 days during spring and summer with the soil drying completely between waterings. Cut back to once every 3 to 4 weeks in winter.

Q: Is it safe around cats and dogs?
A: Echeveria Dusty Rose is non-toxic and safe for both cats and dogs.

Q: How much light does 'Dusty Rose' need?
A: South or east-facing windows provide the best light. Intense direct afternoon sun through glass can scorch leaves, so use a sheer curtain or step the pot back slightly if grown indoors.

Q: Can I propagate it from leaves?
A: 'Dusty Rose' propagates easily from offsets that form at the base. Twist them free, let the cut callous for a day or two, then pot into dry succulent mix.

Q: How big does 'Dusty Rose' get?
A: A single rosette typically reaches 4 to 6 inches in diameter and clusters wider over time.

Q: Can it survive a week without water?
A: 'Dusty Rose' tolerates up to 10 days without watering.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
