The plant's signature look comes from plump, spoon-shaped leaves arranged in a tight, symmetrical rosette with soft silvery-blue tones and rosy-pink margins that deepen with more sun exposure. Each leaf is dusted with a powdery farina coating that gives it a frosted, almost luminous quality. As a clustering grower, it produces offsets around the base over time, gradually forming a fuller colony of rosettes.
In late spring to summer, it sends up arching flower stalks bearing small coral-to-orange blooms. A cool night temperature drop encourages better flowering, so placing it near a cool window in early spring helps trigger blooms.
You can leave it up to ten days without water. Move it outside during warm months to soak up natural sun, then bring it back indoors before heavy autumn rains arrive.
