'Chrissy N Ryan' forms tight, compact rosettes with thick, spoon-shaped leaves arranged in perfect symmetry. Individual rosettes reach 6–8 inches across, with a powdery blue-grey base color and pink-red tips that intensify under direct sun exposure. It naturally clusters and produces offsets around the mother plant, gradually filling its space with new rosettes.
During spring and early summer, it sends up tall flower stalks with bell-shaped blooms in coral-pink tones. The flowers contain pollen that may affect sensitive individuals.
It grows both indoors and outdoors and tolerates dry heated air. Move it outside in summer, but protect it from rain to prevent root rot. You can leave it up to ten days without water. The plant can scorch in south-facing windows, so rotating it regularly ensures even growth. Propagate it through leaf cuttings or by separating the natural offsets that form at the base.
