'Cherio' forms an upright rosette with plump, spoon-shaped leaves arranged in a symmetrical spiral. The foliage has a soft, powdery coating that shifts in tone depending on light levels, often showing peachy-pink blush along the leaf margins and tips. The waxy, frosted texture is distinctive on any windowsill or shelf.
'Cherio' produces slender arching stems topped with small, bell-shaped blooms, and a cool nighttime temperature drop encourages the plant to set flower buds. As a confirmed dry air plant and low humidity plant, it handles the dry conditions of heated interiors with ease.
Move 'Cherio' outside in summer as a patio plant to deepen the rosette's color, but shelter it from heavy rain since sitting water invites rot. It is pet-friendly and safe for homes with cats and dogs. Rotate it every week or two for even growth, and keep it away from direct blasts of air conditioning or heating vents. You can leave it up to ten days without water.
