    •   Calathea Setosa is a tropical foliage plant from the Marantaceae family, native to the rainforest floors of South America. It grows naturally in warm, humid environments beneath filtered canopy light, which defines how it behaves indoors.

        Lance-shaped leaves grow in an upright, clumping rosette with silvery-green striping over deep green bases, each edged in contrasting tones. The leaf surface has a velvety, brushed texture. New leaves unfurl slowly from the center in a compact star-like formation.

        Blooms are rarely seen in typical indoor conditions, so the foliage is the main focus. It filters formaldehyde and other toxins while naturally humidifying the air around it. When the soil dries out, the leaves wilt gently.

        Kitchens and bathrooms are ideal locations where ambient moisture keeps it growing well, and it also grows well under office LEDs with consistent medium indirect light. It is sensitive to being moved, so allow it to settle in one spot. This pet-friendly plant has compact growth suitable for large terrariums.
