The fleshy leaves are bright green, smooth, and spatula-shaped, arranged in tight symmetrical spirals that give each rosette a geometric quality. As it matures and branches freely, the clustered form becomes increasingly full and sculptural. You can leave it up to ten days without water. Rotating the pot a quarter turn every week or two keeps growth even on all sides.
Late autumn and early spring bring the best chance for blooms when nighttime temperatures drop noticeably. Like most aeoniums, individual rosettes are monocarpic and flower once before fading, but the surrounding rosettes in the cluster carry on beautifully, so the overall plant continues to grow and branch.
Move it outside to a bright spot in summer, and it can stay out through autumn in mild climates. Cover it from heavy rain to prevent waterlogged soil, and keep it away from AC and heater vents.
