  •   Echeveria Minima is a miniature succulent from the Crassulaceae family, native to the rocky, semi-arid regions of Mexico. It belongs to the Echeveria genus, a group that grows in bright, dry environments with excellent drainage and warm temperatures. This compact rosette plant is suitable for collectors and beginners for its low-maintenance nature and small stature.

The plant forms tight, jewel-like rosettes of plump, blue-green leaves tipped with soft pink to red edges. Individual rosettes stay small, typically reaching just 3-4 inches across, and naturally cluster over time into dense groupings.

It produces coral to orange-pink bell-shaped flowers on slender stems, typically blooming in spring and sometimes into early summer. A slight drop in nighttime temperatures encourages flowering. The plant spreads through natural offsets, multiplying into fuller clusters as it matures, so even a single small rosette grows into a multi-rosette colony over time.

You can leave it up to ten days without water. Move it outside in summer to a bright spot, and shelter it from heavy rain to protect the rosettes. Echeveria Minima is cat-friendly and dog-friendly, so it poses no toxicity risk in households with pets.

  •   Echeveria Minima grows well in bright indirect light to full sun, ideally near a south or east-facing window; rotate it regularly for even rosette growth.

Water it deeply every 10-14 days in warm months and cut back to once a month in winter, allowing soil to dry completely between waterings.

Echeveria Minima grows well in a well-draining cactus and succulent mix blended with coarse perlite or pumice for added aeration.

It prefers temperatures between 65-80°F and should be moved indoors before temperatures drop below 40°F.

Echeveria Minima is a slow to moderate grower that needs only a light, diluted succulent fertilizer once in spring and once in early summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 10-11, tolerating brief dips to around 30-32°F before frost damage becomes a risk. It grows outdoors year-round in Southern California, Hawaii, South Florida, and the warmest pockets of Arizona and Texas along the Gulf and Rio Grande regions. In zone 9 areas such as Central California, coastal Oregon, Georgia, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, and parts of Nevada and New Mexico, it can summer outdoors but should be moved inside or covered during cold snaps.
  • Q: How often should I water Echeveria Minima?
A: Every 10-14 days during spring and summer once the soil dries out completely; reduce to once a month or less in winter.

    Q: Is it pet-safe?
A: Echeveria Minima is non-toxic and safe for cats and dogs.

Q: How large does Echeveria Minima get?
A: Individual rosettes stay under 4 inches in diameter and cluster into fuller groupings over time.

Q: What window placement works best?
A: Echeveria Minima does well on a south or east-facing sill where it receives bright light most of the day; rotate the pot every few weeks so all sides develop even color.

Q: Can I propagate Echeveria Minima?
A: Yes, it spreads naturally through offsets that form around the base; gently separate a cluster, let the cut end callous for a day or two, then pot in dry succulent soil.

Q: Does it handle outdoor summer growth?
A: Echeveria Minima thrives outdoors in a bright spot with shelter from heavy rain; bring it back inside before fall temperatures drop below 40°F.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
