Senecio Citriformis Succulents

  •  Senecio citriformis, native to South Africa, is a unique evergreen succulent with teardrop shaped leaves that point vertically. These leaves are grey-green in color and have transparent veins.

It produces small clustering yellow flowers in late summer to winter.

Senecio citriformis grows trailing stems with partially upright shoots branching mainly below soil-level from a fleshy rootstock that may protrude from the soil. It can form large clusters over time. Drought tolerant. Protect from frost.

All of the plants will be shipped bare root.
  •  Cactus potting mix with good drainage

     Slight dappled shade

Water every 2 weeks or so. Water deeply when soil is dry to the touch and then let it drain completely. Reduce watering during winter.
  • USDA zone: 9a to 11b from -6.6 °C (20 °F) to 10 °C  (50 °F).
  • Your plant will be meticulously bubblewrapped and shipped in a sturdy box. Most 2" plants are shipped in their original plastic pot with soil. Fragile and big 4" plants are shipped bareroot to ensure their safety. When opening your package, some soil may be loose in the box. Plant orders are shipped within 3-5 days depending on availability of the plant. We ship our plants Monday through Friday, all twelve months of the year! If you need your order urgently, please message us so we can upgrade your shipping (additional cost applied). Here is our blog about the shipping process and packaging. We do not ship outside of the continental United States.

*** All of our packages are sterilized before leaving the door.
  • We only ship out beautiful, healthy plants! Please track your package and open it immediately upon arrival. If you receive your package and are not satisfied, please message us immediately. Fragile plants such as bearpaw, baby toe, etc. may break or loose a few of their leaves during transport. Please contact us for replacements if your plants are severely damaged. We'll try our best to accommodate you. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grown in, depending on availability or time of year.
  • Provide porous soil with adequate drainage, pots with drainage hole are recommended. Bright, filtered light and ample airflow. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Never let your succulents sit in water. Do NOT water on the leaves. If you water from beneath by letting the plant sit in a saucer of water, make sure to pour off any excess water after a few minutes. The hotter it is outside, the faster your soil will dry out, so you’ll need to water more often if you live in a hot area. Water with caution in winter, as the plant can lose its roots if the soil stays cold and wet for extended periods; protect from frost to prevent scarring.

    Doing well

This plant came packaged well and seems to be doing well in its new pot. She’s already growing and I can’t wait to see how she changes in 2 months!

This is my second order from Jewelry Le/SucculentsBox. I am always delighted to look through their gallery to see what plants are available as I usually find plants that are highly unusual, this being the case today. Again, I can't say enough about how pleased I am about the care they take in packaging the plants ensuring perfect delivery. I highly recommend this shop for all your plant purchases!
