Christmas Cactus Thanksgiving Cactus

  • Christmas cactus is known as Thanksgiving cactus or Easter cactus. This plant has a flattened body and the leaves are actually its stems, from which the red-pink flowers bloom during the holiday season.

This popular, winter-flowering houseplant makes a great addition to nearly any indoor setting.

Christmas cactus is not only easy to care for but propagates easily too, making it an exceptional candidate for holiday gift giving.

All of the plants will be shipped bare root.

The flowers' colors are random. We have 3 options: red, pink and white, please message us if you want a certain color

  • Partial sun, partial shade.

    Porous, well-drained.

This cactus prefers cooler temperatures, so avoid placing it close to any heat sources. But also protect the plant from frost and freezing temperatures.

Try not to overwater the plant, but you can mist its leaves every other day to maintain its preferred level of humidity (50-60%).

Generally non-toxic to humans and animals
  • USDA zone from 9b: to -3.8 °C (25 °F) to 11: above 4.5 °C (40 °F)
  • Your plant will be meticulously bubblewrapped and shipped in a sturdy box. Most 2" plants are shipped in their original plastic pot with soil. Fragile and big 4" plants are shipped bareroot to ensure their safety. When opening your package, some soil may be loose in the box. Plant orders are shipped within 3-5 days depending on availability of the plant. We ship our plants Monday through Friday, all twelve months of the year! If you need your order urgently, please message us so we can upgrade your shipping (additional cost applied). Here is our blog about the shipping process and packaging. We do not ship outside of the continental United States.

*** All of our packages are sterilized before leaving the door.
  • We only ship out beautiful, healthy plants! Please track your package and open it immediately upon arrival. If you receive your package and are not satisfied, please message us immediately. Fragile plants such as bearpaw, baby toe, etc. may break or loose a few of their leaves during transport. Please contact us for replacements if your plants are severely damaged. We'll try our best to accommodate you. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grown in, depending on availability or time of year.
  • Provide porous soil with adequate drainage, pots with drainage hole are recommended. Bright, filtered light and ample airflow. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Never let your succulents sit in water. Do NOT water on the leaves. If you water from beneath by letting the plant sit in a saucer of water, make sure to pour off any excess water after a few minutes. The hotter it is outside, the faster your soil will dry out, so you’ll need to water more often if you live in a hot area. Water with caution in winter, as the plant can lose its roots if the soil stays cold and wet for extended periods; protect from frost to prevent scarring.

It arrived and it has survived

It arrived bare-root and was a bit stressed but after a week or so of being watered and in a pot of soil the christmas cactuses have perked up! I ordered 3 of them and they come as 3-4 pieces for one plant, so I received about 12 individual bare-root pieces. They all fit in my 5 inch planter perfectly. Hope they bloom this year!

Beautiful young plant

This christmas cactus is super cute and healthy. I was a little surprised it traveled so well because they're a bit tender, but it arrived healthy and ready to grow!

Christmas Cactus

Planted them . Just don't know how they will do yet. We bought a greenhouse to put them and the rest of my cactus & succulents in for the winter. Hopefully that will help them grow strong.
